ORGANIZATION: Enhabit Health& Hospice

Volunteering with Purpose!
Just 1 to 2 hours a week. Here at Encompass Health Hospice we believe in helping relieve the pressure of patients/family members and or caregivers with basic tasks. Helping them live the best life they can for their whole life.
We have simple things our volunteers can do to help our patients/family in need.

Things that volunteers can do:
-with with patient and read to them
-stay for an hour with a patient while the caregiver goes to the bank, grocery store or post office
-do light chores
-offer to go to store, post office or run and errand
-help a patient call a loved one
-play music. If you have access to a smart phone, you can access music from a bygone era (on YouTube) that is appreciated by patients who may no longer be able to access their favorite music, big band sound, soothing music, or hymns.)
-write a card or letter for the patient.

These are just a few simple things our volunteers can do that have purpose and meaning, and make a different for our patients here at Encompass Health Hospice.
We want to bring comfort and care in an individual way. Be a volunteer with purpose.

Do something now that will change a life in a good way.
Because we follow CMS guidlines, we require our volunteers and staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

  • COVID 19 vaccination proof, background check, fingerprinting clearance, initial training and ongoing training, TB screening
