Mission Statement
At Bon Cheval our mission is to help kids, one hoof at a time. We provide a relaxed, country setting that facilitates the connection of kids with horses, to build confidence, and core strength through movements that only a horse can provide. Our program gives kids confidence, and enables wheelchair-bound kids the benefits of walking motions through the aid of a large, gentle animal.
Description
Bon Cheval is a PATH-certified riding therapy center, conveniently located east of Kansas City just north of I-70. Our country setting is ideal for connecting with nature, and connecting with horses in a laid-back, friendly, supportive and loving environment. Our main goals is to provide these experiences to kids who have limited abilities, and give them confidence and core strength to better tackle the problems of daily life. Our volunteers help us to develop and maintain a safe environment for both horses and riders: that involves training, maintenance and supporting riding activities for kids.
