Description

Cherish-Hospice, "Where Care Always Matters," is currently searching for volunteers for a recently established hospice agency in the Springfield, Ohio area. The varying service area includes Clark, Darke, Green, Montgomery and Miami counties of Ohio.

Hospice volunteers are essential as they provide companionship and support for our patients in their home -- wherever they call home. Volunteers will improve the quality of lives with sensitivity, compassion, and professionalism. After a background check and a TB test, you will be paired with individuals based upon similar interests and preferences to cherish their lives. Volunteer training will be provided by the agency regarding the hospice philosophy as well as education regarding grief and loss. Volunteers will also be trained in health and safety precautions.
