Grant researchers assist in identifying, defining and developing funding sources, assist in developing, writing and submitting grant proposals, input and maintain information on grant spreadsheets.

Statistics researchers identify city, state and national statistics to address needs/problem statements of grant applications, compile relevant statistics and reports, and maintain statistics folders for target cities.

Grant writers coordinate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals with granting organizations, establish relationships with grantmaking organizations, compile, write, and edit all grant applications, and review the program budget.

Copyeditors review grant proposals before submission making sure they are grammatically clean and written in one voice, and ensure they meet specified formatting requirements.

Budget Coordinator develops a budget specific to each grant application, including more complex budgets that include funding from multiple sources, matching funds and indirect costs.

Evaluators write the evaluation plan for the grant, making sure that objectives are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely), determine the correct methodology to best evaluate a grant, track objectives and outcomes, and use statistical analysis software as needed.

Description

Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
