The Alcott Center for Mental Health Services has been on the forefront of community mental health services since 1979, meeting the needs of community members who have little to no income and would not otherwise have access to the care they require. In addition to therapy, case and medication management, and crisis interventions, the Alcott Center also provides studio art classes that are open to all community members. Through the studio art classes, the Alcott Center empowers individuals by providing a space for them to also sell their art. The Studio Arts Program was born from a need for clients to be able to express themselves in an alternative manner and is expanding to offer Creative Writing classes. We are looking for volunteers that can teach a creative writing class at least once a month on Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00 PM and can commit to being with us for at least three months.

*Volunteers and class participants are required to wear masks and socially distance*
