The Green Crew

Call all youth who care about the environment!

The new Green Crew is organizing two environmental adventures per month for youth. Each adventure is an environmental service project, where youth members of the Green Crew will make a real difference for animals, water, plants, and insects.

Join our crew and make a real difference -- while having fun with other young people.

Examples of our adventures: Wood Duck Home Building, Buckthorn Removal, Garlic Mustard Removal, River Otter Habitat, State Park Service Project, Stream Habitat Protection, Wetland Monitoring Project -- and more!

Each adventure is led by a youth member of the Crew (a different volunteer opportunity on here).
Each youth volunteer that registers here will be connected directly with Crew volunteers to register for the upcoming adventures which interest them.

If you are 14-18 and care about the environment -- please contact the Green Crew!

Mission Statement

The Green Crew's mission is to lead the adventure of "saving the world." The Green Crew is a youth-inspired and youth-led environmental action organization. Our conservation service projects provide youth the hands-on experience in meaningful action to make the natural world healthier.

Description

Launching in January 2022, the Green Crew is a unique collaboration between the Izaak Walton League and the BSA Venturing Program. We sponsor 1 or 2 environmental adventures per month. These adventures have been designed, planned, and implemented by youth. Adults service as consultants and advisors.
