  • Volunteer wanted for Play based support for 8 years old boy who has minor autism
  • Location: Palo Alto, 94306
  • 4-8 hours per week,, and a minimum of 6-months' commitment

We’re looking for someone who is confident, caring, creative, and dedicated, and willing to help children with autism improve their social and emotional skills through play-based therapy. A psychology or special education major is preferred but not required.

Watly Foundation’s mission is to create a resource platform and connect Psychology major/minor college students who seek volunteer opportunities with high schoolers who seek peer supports and mental-care information.

Our vision is to increase the awareness of mental health care for youth. We're dedicated to helping youth to manage their stress and supporting parents to learn more about youth mental care with various workshops and resources.

Description

We are a non-profit organization located in the Bay Area, that is dedicated to bringing awareness of youth mental health. It’s important to us to work together and identify the best way to resolve it. Here is how we plan to alleviate these stressors:

  1. Host seminars and workshops designed to examine and negate stressors
  2. Help parents identify and navigate symptoms of anxiety and depression Provide access and information about professional mental health resources
  3. Provide assistance and support for individuals with special needs
