Board members sought by an long established NYC arts group, ARTISTS TALK ON ART. A venerable and highly respected New York City-based non-profit visual arts institution seeks to diversify and expand its Board by adding more business world expertise. We seek candidates from within the continental USA, preferably within a 150 mile radius of the NY Tri-state area - from finance, legal, manufacturing, education and science fields, who have a passion for art and artists. ARTISTS TALK ON ART (www.atoanyc.org) is the art world's longest running and most prolific aesthetic forum and has held and recorded over 8500 artists, critics, art writers, curators and educators in more than 1,000 talks. Our historic archive resides at Archives of American Art of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

Artists Talk On Art (ATOA) presents critical discussions on aesthetic opinions and best practices among artists and throughout the art community.

Description

Founded in 1974, ATOA is the art world's longest running and most prolific panel discussion series. Over 8,500 artists and other art world members have been presented and documented in more than 1,400 events in New York City. The Archive of American Art of the Smithsonian is the official depository of all past and future ATOA audio and visual materials.
