A venerable and highly respected New York City-based non-profit visual arts institution seeks to diversify and expand its Board by adding more business world expertise. We seek candidates from finance, legal, manufacturing, education and science who have a passion for art and artists. ARTISTS TALK ON ART (www.atoanyc.org) is the art world's longest running and most prolific aesthetic forum and has held and recorded over 8500 artists, critics, art writers, curators and educators in more than 1,000 talks. Our historic archive resides at Archives of American Art of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

Artists Talk On Art (ATOA) is a critical forum for aesthetic opinions and best practices among artists and throughout the art community.

Description

Founded in 1974, ATOA is the art world's longest running and most prolific panel discussion series. Over 6,000 artists and other art world members have been presented and doumentedin more than 1,400 events in New York City. The Archive of Amrican Art of the Smithsonian will be the eventual recipient of the entire archive of audio and visual materials.
