The Elizabeth Hospice has 2 ways volunteers can support their Pet Program:
Pet Therapy Volunteers and their certified therapy animals are adored members of their hospice volunteer team. The soothing presence and unconditional affection of your qualified therapy pet can offer comfort and peace to a fellow animal lover.
Pawsitive Pet Connect Volunteers make it possible for their hospice and palliative care patients to stay connected to their pet by walking dogs, playing with cats, as well as delivering pet food and other items, such as cat litter, flea medication and pet toys. They also assist with transporting pets to veterinarian and grooming appointments.
