A volunteer communication/technology support specialist is someone that assists patients with communications with family and loved ones. This can be using a hospital owned device or with the patients personal device. These volunteers round in care areas to ask if there are any technology/communication needs that they can help with. This may include supporting patients with: Calls, texts, emails, zoom or other video conferencing applications, charging devices and supporting patients with setting up or re-setting username and passwords.

Volunteers will carry devices to approved adult units and need to be familiar with contacting Renown Technology support if assistance is needed with a Renown owned device.

Please note this position includes: customer service, independent problem solving, walking, technology, passwords, IT support.
