Capital City Hospice is seeking volunteers who know they want to be the difference. We need volunteers to provide companionship in Pickerington and Reynoldsburg!
Perhaps you have a heart for those who are facing life limiting illness. We have patients who receive few visits from the outside world. Again and again, we have witnessed the life affirming power of just one soul to make that difference in a hospice patients' life!
Our volunteers are an extension of the love and support we provide our patients. Volunteers are considered a part of our interdisciplinary team. We place volunteers with patients who are within their chosen travel boundaries. Volunteer opportunities include providing companionship, reading to patients, playing music, pet therapy, Veteran to Veteran visits or helping to record a patient's memories for their loved ones.
Patients may be in private residences, Assisted Living facilities, Healthcare settings or Memory Care. We go wherever our patients call home
We will train you and provide an orientation - Drug screening, TB testing and fingerprinting are required and paid for by Capital City Hospice.
