The SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference are career competition events showcasing the state's best career and technical education students. The philosophy of the Championships is to reward students for excellence, to involve industry directly evaluating student performance, and to keep training relevant to employers' needs.

SkillsUSA Colorado needs judges for various leadership and skilled trade-specific events. Volunteers should sign up to judge through our volunteer form. https://bit.ly/SkillsUSA_judge.

Most leadership events are judged on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, and skilled events are judged on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Description

SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training and enhances the lives and careers of students, instructors and industry representatives as they strive to be champions at work. With more than 13,000 school chapters in all 50 states and 4 U.S. territories, SkillsUSA serves more than 320,000 students and instructors annually.

Through state associations, like SkillsUSA Colorado, SkillsUSA offers a variety of programs, leadership and professional development conferences, as well as local, regional and state conferences through which students demonstrate their technical and leadership skills in occupationally-related trade, industrial, technical and leadership competitive events.

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Time commitment will depend on event being judged. Most events begin at 8 am and conclude at 5 pm.
  • Currently, a prior 72 hour negative COVID test or proof of vaccination is required. This requirement may change as we get closer to April 2022.
