Sharia's Closet is a small but mighty nonprofit providing clothing for individuals and families in and around the San Diego community who are facing financial hardship or crisis. They provide personalized empowerment in the form of new/gently used clothing for those in need of their services, victims of domestic violence, natural disasters, and human trafficking as well as unsheltered or unemployed individuals. They know proper clothing helps people maintain a sense of dignity and self-esteem in times of insecurity.
Sharia's Closet is connected to community members in need through direct referrals from a network of local social service organizations that help identify those that are in the greatest need of services. Typically, a case manager within a social service agency or program conducts a needs assessment. If clothing is needed, they submit a request to Sharia's Closet. As a Personal Shopper you'll fulfill these requests by selecting personalized and appropriate outfits and accessories for Sharia's Closet's clients. You'll neatly package the customized bag of hand-selected clothing for each individual based on their preferences.

People of all ages, genders, identities, and cultural backgrounds are served with dignity and respect through Sharia's Closet, one purple bag at a time.
