The volunteer will be responsible for (1) researching media outlets covering gerrymandering; (2) reaching out to pitch story ideas or offer expertise/background information; (3) writing op-eds or other responses to published media stories; (4) building relationships with key political journalists; (5) working with social media volunteer(s) to coordinate messaging.
Experience in journalism a plus, but not required.

Description
Concerned Citizens for Democracy (CCFD) is a nonprofit good government education and advocacy group located in suburban Philadelphia. We are composed of lawyers, engineers, economists, geographers, geographic information systems (GIS) experts and other activists. Founded in 2017 as a Pennsylvania nonprofit association, CCFD proudly received its IRS 501)c)(3) status in 2020.
