Purpose : This position supports the Regional Volunteer Services Department. Universities partner with the Red Cross to foster an environment where students learn about themselves and the community by taking action through service.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill volunteer roles in various business lines to meet both course learning objectives and Red Cross organizational needs/priorities.
- Complete required training for related roles
- Participate in special projects based on local or national need.
Qualifications :
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and submission of vaccine status and supporting documentation in Volunteer Connection if participating in in-person activities
- Complete Red Cross volunteer application, code of conduct, orientation and successfully complete background check
- Current enrollment as a student in an academic program
* Commitment to serve communities, work with diverse individuals and excellent communication skills.
Training :- American Red Cross Volunteer Orientation
- On-the-job training from supervisor, as needed
Time Commitment : Varies; discuss with faculty contact to determine specific number of hours and schedule
