Business Advisory Committee

We are looking for more local businesses to add to our business advisory committee- our next event is Feb 2nd and we are in need of businesses to participate in a mock interview session (about 2 hours), so that our students can meet professionals they don't know and practice their skills. We also have other events throughout the year and it's a great way for your company to get involved, and not a big commitment.

It's also great to have companies in different fields that are involved and can offer expertise and how to get into the field, guidance, background, etc.

We partner with Lewisville ISD for a project called "project search", a year long program where students participate in mini internships at businesses and then at the end of the year we help them find employment. The program prepares our young adults with hands-on work and experiences, so that they are better prepared and learn what skills they are strong in, what they like and don't like, etc. This can be a one time volunteer or ongoing!
