ORGANIZATION: Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston

Seeking a mentor for smart, funny, and friendly Elijah! Elijah is a Black 16-year-old from Boston who enjoys playing video games, sketching art, playing sports, and going to the Museum of Science. His teachers report that he is "an enthusiastic student" who likes computers, the arts, and music. He has autism with low support needs and can hold meaningful conversations. His challenges are being in large, noisy crowds (like concerts) and reading social cues. He would like to be matched with a Black mentor who is a good listener. The ideal Big would be a patient adult between the ages of 27-45 who shares some of Elijah’s interests! Sound like you?

Apply now (https://www.jbbbs.org/volunteer-2), or email tania@jbbbs.org with any questions! Bigs commit to meeting with their Littles twice/month for at least one year, mostly over the weekend; mentor training is provided. Volunteers do not need to be Jewish. JBBBS welcomes Bigs from all religious backgrounds!
