Mission Statement
Preventing and protecting children from child sexual abuse using evidence-based, educational tools to raise awareness and empower families to stop this violence.
Description
We are a Detroit based nonprofit, committed to raising awareness around child sex abuse, and using prevention education in schools and other youth serving organizations. We have 3 programs as follows:
Kids Voices Matter - comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum through Monique Burr Foundation for Children in schools and youth-serving organizations
Stronger Together - trainings to empower parents and adults through Darkness to Light (d2l.org) to educate and raise awareness around child sex abuse
The Safety Zone Teen Youth Group - ages 15-21 teens that meet every Monday where social emotional learning and child safety empowers Detroit youth.
