Social Warrior (Newsletter Editor)

The Us for Warriors Foundation (or, "Us4Warriors") is an award-winning charity made up of a dedicated team of public servants, volunteers, programs, and services that support military, veterans, and families in need.

Volunteers for this opportunity serve as a Newsletter Editor for the Warriorverse of Us4Warriors!

Our Social Warriors assist with maintaining our communications edge. This Social Warrior volunteer is needed to assist with the publication of a monthly newsletter to compliment our social media, web and other communications outlets while sharing important information about our programs, services, and events. Ability to use the computer and administrative office software is a must. Training is provided for all volunteers.

***This Volunteer Opportunity is for task-oriented support at Us4Warriors Headquarter, 1690 W. Frontage Road, Suite 201, Chula Vista, CA. To sign-up for this event, please follow through with the next screen that leads to our Us4Warriors website sign-up.

Attire: Each volunteer receives a Warrior Volunteer Force T-shirt for use. Please wear closed-toed shoes and working clothes.

Physical: This opportunity comes with use of computers, phones, and administrative equipment.

Safety: Please do not attend project shifts if you have either been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or has exhibited systems of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Those who have been fully vaccinated are welcome to support as well.

Desired Skills:

. Energy, creativity, and flexibility

· Firm attention to detail

· Effective communication skills, including the ability to generate visual and verbal content to inform and stimulate a "call to action"

· Proficient typing skills and use of basic computer software (especially, Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Familiarity with the following social media platforms is desired, but not required. Training available* (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube).

· Be able to function well independently but also in a group or team setting

· Must have reliable transportation
