The Us for Warriors Foundation (or, "Us4Warriors") is an award-winning charity made up of a dedicated team of public servants, volunteers, programs, and services that support military, veterans, and families in need.

Volunteers for this opportunity serve as an Event Support Assistant for the Warriorverse of Us4Warriors!

Our Impact Event Warriors assist with a full range of activities that include supporting the coordination of annual fundraising events, communicating and harvesting sponsorships, and assisting with event logistics. These warriors will work closely with the Us4Warriors Fundraising Committee in support of specific events. Ability to communicate with prospective sponsors and use the computer with administrative office software is a must. Training is provided for all volunteers.

Us4Warriors hosts four annual fundraising events, to include Golf4Warriors, Art4Warriors, Books4Warriors and Laughs4Warriors as well as smaller events. Impact Event Warriors will assist the Us4Warriors Fundraising Committee in the coordination and performance of these fundraising events.

Attire: Each volunteer receives a Warrior Volunteer Force T-shirt for use. Please wear closed-toed shoes and working clothes.

Physical: This opportunity comes with use of computers, phones, and administrative equipment.

Safety: Please do not attend project shifts if you have either been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or has exhibited systems of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Those who have been fully vaccinated are welcome to support as well.

Desired Skills:

• Prior grant writing experience is welcomed but not required
• Self-motivated, flexible, with a desire to learn
• Effective communications, including persuasive writing and proper phone etiquette
• Firm attention to detail with the ability to manage several accounts and projects
• Proficient typing skills and use of basic, administrative computer software (especially, Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Be able to function well independently and in a group or team setting
• Desire for a minimum of 10 hours a week desired for fullest capabilities and timeliest completion
• Must have reliable transportation
