Share your book reading skills or a talent with a virtual buddy through Hattie Larlham! If you can play an instrument, have crafting skills, or even enjoy walks, reading, or puppets, Hattie Larlham clients would love to learn from you. You can record this performance and send it to the Volunteer Coordinator at Hattie Larlham to display for the clients! You will be benefiting adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and bring joy, companionship, and entertainment to their lives. Volunteers should have a way to record their talents on either a phone, computer, iPad, etc.
To volunteer as a Virtual Buddy join the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) a volunteer program exclusive to Ohio residents in Franklin or Delaware County ages 55 years and older. We match volunteers ages 55+ with nonprofits in their community that either need or rely on volunteers to be able to provide their services. Funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and part of AmeriCorps Seniors, VANTAGE Aging’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 years and over. We partner with nonprofit agencies to match these older adults to their volunteer opportunities. RSVP projects link the skills of the volunteers with the identified needs of the community. We think of ourselves as the 'center hub' for our volunteers looking for opportunities. We offer many wonderful incentives and perks to our team of RSVP volunteers, this program is free and so rewarding to be a part of.

Every older adult has the opportunity to live a healthy life and age with independence, purpose and dignity.
RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) connects volunteers age 55 and older with opportunities to serve their community. VANTAGE RSVP is available in Delaware, Franklin, Summit, Medina, Geauga, Wayne and Hamilton Counties.
As the largest volunteer network for older adults in the nation, RSVP matches volunteers with organizations where their time, interest, talents, knowledge, and experience are most effectively utilized to meet important needs in our community.
