Befriender | This is an in-person opportunity. You would be assigned one patient/family to visit weekly as a friend. You will help reduce isolation and increase their socialization. Most of our patients are bed or wheelchair bound and cannot go or do much anymore. You need to be comfortable with the minimal covid-19 exposure risk of going into homes and facilities. Remarkable can provide masks or other PPE as needed. When we are aware of active covid cases you will be informed and we would not allow volunteer visits to that home or facility. We can provide rapid covid-19 tests for active volunteers currently assigned to and visiting patients.
