Endless Journey Hospice seeks hospice companion volunteers in the Fremont area. Hospice volunteers provide companionship and support as people embark on their last journey in life. This opportunity is for anyone with a desire to be alongside persons who are at the end-of-life. All training will be provided. To be able to walk alongside someone in the last part of their journey is such a special blessing. We hope you will join us along the way.
If you would like to know more about this opportunity, please contact Ivie Sprenger, Volunteer Coordinator at 402-800-8145.
Covid-19 has made volunteers even more important. Nursing homes and other senior-services are under-staffed, and the mental health crisis stemming from the pandemic is impacting our seniors as well. Nonjudgmental, calm and supportive companions are life-savers!

Mission Statement
The Endless Journey hospice experience will encompass the holistic philosophy in that the client and their family will be nourished physically, emotionally and spiritually as they prepare for the end of life and beyond.
Description
Endless Journey Hospice LLC is an independent, locally owned and operated hospice established in Omaha to serve Northeast Nebraska with an alternative for end of life care unlike those currently offered by the medical field. The primary objective is to empower clients and the community through education and to offer holistic interventions to provide comfort and dignity throughout the dying process. Endless Journey embraces the client and their loved ones as they approach the exhaustion of effective aggressive treatment by offering emotional support and education related to disease process and treatment options to improve quality of life. Like all hospices, we provide services to clients wherever they live. This is provided through the traditional hospice team of nurses, health aids, chaplains, social workers, and volunteers in addition to a broad array of holistic providers and a full-time nutritionist.
