Volunteer Grant Writer
Autism Tennessee is a nonprofit 501(c)(3). Our missions is to provide support to autistic individuals and their families. Our mission is to assist individuals to attain independence through support, advocacy, and education.
Autism Tennessee is seeking a volunteer grant writer to write grant proposals for our organization. We are seeking someone who will apply their knowledge of fundraising to assist us in reaching our fundraising goals.
**This is an unpaid volunteer position
What You Will Do:
- Develop relationships and collaborate with stakeholders
- Identify grant funding opportunities
- Write, submit, and manage grant proposals
- Furnish prospective funders with the appropriate supporting documents
- Collaborate with Executive Director to create a new funding sources
- Maintain records in hard copies and electronic format
What We Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in creative writing or a related field
- 2+ years of grant writing experience
- Proficiency in measuring and reaching income goals
- Proficiency with MS Office Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated, with strong people skills
- Ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.

Autism Tennessee is a non-profit organization serving the approximately 35,000 individuals and families diagnosed with autism in Middle Tennessee.

For over 20 years, Autism Tennessee has provided information, support, and referrals to the autism community. One out of every 36 children born today will be diagnosed with autism. By investing in Autism Tennessee, families and the community are better equipped to create an inclusive culture. The only funding to support Autism Tennessee comes from individual donors, corporations, and grants.
