COVID-19 Wall of Memories

  • 5 people are interested

COVID-19 Wall of Memories is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that memorializes those who have passed away from COVID-19 and educates and informs about the illness and the pandemic via our website. We are seeking someone proficient in creating social media posts that are compelling, eye-catching, branded, and effective. Content could include celebrating the life of a COVID-19 victim, information from the CDC or other sources, news about our website, and whatever you think is appropriate. We use Canva a great deal and have our logos, brand colors and brand fonts stored there. However, Canva is not a requirement and we will give you all the branding details.

If you are looking to build your portfolio or have internship requirements to meet, we are happy to help you meet those needs. Hours are flexible. We will create a social media calendar together and that will determine your weekly time investment.

We will ask to see samples of work you've done, whether a formal portfolio or your own accounts, and a recommendation letter from someone who's worked with you in any capacity, social media-related or not.

Community service is welcome, although we hope you will continue with us after you complete your required hours.

Description

COVID-19 Wall of Memories is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 85-1414385) which runs a website of the same name. The virtual wall is the heart of the site. It contains photos and names of people who have passed away from COVID-19. It also provides the opportunity to leave general or specific condolence messages as well as a new page and an information page, both designed to increase understanding and knowledge about the disease and its impacts. We also engage in community-based activities such as vaccination drives and spoken word memorials.
