We have many experiences to offer in the following areas.

Companionship

Tending, in presence to someone 1 to 1 through reading, reminiscing, listen to music, talking about current events, going on a walk, hand massage and other seemingly simple yet highly impactful activities.

Pet Therapy:

You are able to bring y our pet to patient homes or facilities so you can extend what they give you all the rest. Certified Pet Therapy requires updated vaccinations and liability insurance.

Music

Either playing in person or providing recording, you can play bedside bed and supply our patient and families with engaging and soothing music.

Angles Program

Which stands for Alliance of Neighbors Giving End of Life Support. In the final hours of someone life. At times either there is no family or families are not able to be, so we sit with the patient and be presence. This role usually requires a 2 to 4 hours shift.

Veteran to Veteran

Veterans of family members of someone who served are able to make direct connections with the veterans on our service. Revisit and expand on the lasting comradery.

Administrative

Office based support, Compile charts, make patient/family weekly phone calls, assist

Life Review

Upon patient or family approval we will be either trying to provide a recording through audio or video of recollected stories and controlled reminiscing for prosperity.

Internship

College students looking for volunteer/internship hours are welcome. A mix between administrative task, companionship and shadowing our field team car bring you a sense of the industry. Chaplin’s, Social workers, nurse aids and even sales and market students are encouraged, but anyone can benefit from time spent.

Each volunteer with Compassus is treated as a contingent worker. It may seem like a lot but it really is easy process and goes smooth. We are currently recruiting in every county of Connecticut.
