Help register guests during our food distributions.

Impact

Heart of Compassion is dedicated to being a lighthouse of hope and help for Montebello and our local communities. We rely on our valuable volunteers to help us achieve our mission of Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope. We currently provide loads of groceries for more than 400 families weekly at our public food distributions.

Requirements

We need friendly, tech-savvy volunteers to help register guests during our food distributions. We use an app on ipads and phones to scan guests IDs or manually type in guests' information into our database.

Volunteer Roles and Responbilities

8-11a.m. on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.

Must be friendly when greeting guests.

Must be able to walk, use an ipad, and direct traffic.

Being multi-lingual is a plus.

This position does require walking and standing.

Description

Heart of Compassion is dedicated to being a lighthouse of hope and help for Montebello and our local communities. We rely on our valuable volunteers to help us achieve our mission of Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope. We currently provide loads of groceries for about 600 families weekly at our public food distributions.

Mondays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to bag produce
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8-11a.m.: volunteers needed to register recipients
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9a.m.-12p.m.: volunteers needed to load groceries into shopping carts and recipient vehicles
