Holidays Are Lonely For Some

ORGANIZATION: Compassus Hospice

Hospice Non-Medical Volunteers Needed
Do you have a cheerful outlook and lift people up with your light hearted personality? Do you enjoy listening to other's stories of things they've accomplished or regrets from a long life? Are you a good listener and slow to speak? Do you have a long list of jokes memorized so people will laugh with you? Do you cry when other people cry? Are you strong in the face of adversity and others lean on your strength? Are you a leader in your home, community or workplace? Are you changed by your faith and want to share hope with others?
Hospice care patients are in the end stages of their disease and some don't have friends or family to visit them. Most are still living in their own homes. They are in need of someone to help them ease their loneliness and experience hope again.
If you are one of the people called into hospice care volunteerism, we need you.
