THE ROLE
Protect Us Kids Foundation (PUK) is currently researching the behavioral and socioeconomic factors involved in how technology is used to support cyber-related crime against at-risk youth. The Volunteer Outreach & Engagement Director is accountable for leading the planning and coordination of outreach events and activities to create awareness and draw in partners and participants to support the organization, including connecting with schools & universities to cultivate relationships and possibly create fundraising opportunities.
PUK programs are centered on the unique cultural, behavioral, and societal aspects of underserved, rural and marginalized communities that have afforded criminals an increased opportunity to exploit children leveraging technology. Our programs align to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and support global partnership efforts towards combating human trafficking; to include developing critical targeted research of Online Child Sexual Exploitation (OCSE) against youth within this demographic globally. Our programs include:

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Developing and directing the overall strategy for the Volunteer Outreach and Engagement team, ensuring that the strategy aligns with the department’s overall strategy
- This includes providing leadership and guidance through strategic planning in the creation and implementation of the team’s campaigns, programs, and policy efforts;
- Collaborating with other departmental programs to prioritize work and activities for the Volunteer Outreach and Engagement team
- Proactively seeks out opportunities to integrate resources in the broader Protect Us Kids Foundation (PUK) mission
- Managing the Volunteer Outreach and Engagement team ensuring staff achieve their goals, including providing staff with guidance and advice, training, performance management, and career development
- Championing community outreach efforts and volunteer programs within the organization and increasing the understanding and visibility of all outreach and engagement programs;
- Designing and implementing program policies, procedures, and activities to effectively engage volunteers
- Guiding work with Volunteer Outreach and Engagement program staff recruiting and engaging key volunteer leaders in overall grassroots efforts to achieve both national and international policy priorities
- Coordinating with the Public Relations & Communications team expanding the use of online and offline strategies to build grassroots constituencies and tracking grassroots growth and engagement metrics;
- Providing support and training for staff responsible for supervising the organization’s volunteer leaders and council groups
- Overseeing ongoing evaluation program for volunteers

Our programs are centered on the unique cultural, behavioral, and societal aspects of marginalized and rural communities that have afforded criminals an increased opportunity to exploit children leveraging technology.
