Pitch our Op-Eds and other story ideas to news media outlets. Help secure placement of blog articles in The Mighty and any other well known blogs, and add all of our blogs to Medium. Do you have writing, editing or PR skills? If so, this position is a perfect fit for your skillset.

The National Shattering Silence Coalition speaks out about federal, state, and local policies that impact adults and children living with serious brain disorders (SBD), commonly referred to as "serious mental illnesses", and advocates for change.

Description

Founded in 2017, NSSC is a nonpartisan alliance of ​​ family members, individuals suffering from serious brain disorders (SBD), professionals in the trenches, and caring people united to ensure that brain illness, health, and criminal justice systems count those with SBD, and their families in all federal, state, and local policy reforms. We are voices for the 11.2 million adults and 7 million children living with and dying too young from serious brain disorders.


NSSC envisions a medically-based system of non-discriminatory, comprehensive, and coordinated brain illness care.
