Eagles’ Wings Stable, Inc. provides equine-assisted therapeutic activities for people with special needs to benefit and improve their development and quality of life. Our primary program is therapeutic horseback riding - mounted horseback riding for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being of people with disabilities through the teaching of horsemanship skills. Currently we conduct four, eight week sessions per year. We need photographers and videographers to document the progress of our riders. These photographs and videos will be used on our website to further the success of our program.

Description
Volunteering at Eagles’ Wings Stable Where People with Special Needs Can Benefit and Improve Their Development and Quality of Life - All volunteers must be at least 14 years old:
Barn Buddies - Barn buddies clean the stalls Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Each volunteer
helps one day or evening and cleans 2-3 stalls, sweeps the aisle, provides fresh water, and may
groom the horses if desired. This is typically an hour to two-hour commitment per week.
Arena Volunteers - Arena volunteers either lead a horse or walk beside the horse to support
the rider. Classes are Thursday evenings (5:30 and 6:45) and Saturday mornings (9:00; 10:15;
and 11:30). Class sessions run for eight weeks. This is a 1 hour commitment per week for
eight weeks.
Other Volunteer Opportunities - Taking photos of our horses and riders and telling our riders’
and volunteers’ stories through journals.
