Faith Family Hospitality (FFH), our overnight program, accommodates four guest families (up to 22 parents and children) at a time. This interfaith project unites 28 diverse faith communities through a shared mission of service. Families stay at a host faith community (supported with volunteers from 1-2 other faith communities)for one week at a time, and then rotate to the next faith community. Families arrive each evening at 5 and receive a warm, nutritious evening meal, breakfast each morning, packed snacks/lunches, and gracious hospitality and volunteer support from FFH member congregations. Individuals participating in FFH through VolunteerMatch DO NOT need to be part of a specific organization but will be matched with one faith community to provide ease and consistency for each quarterly rotation.
Self-directed volunteer teams, following established FHN Guest and Host Guidelines, provide for the range of hosting duties. All volunteers will participate in a one hour training prior to the first shift. Details will be provided during this training but in general there are 3 particular shifts that need to be covered each evening. Shifts are posted on a signup genius link.
Evening host (5-8 pm): Greet guests and 5 and help with whatever they might need. Help meal hosts get dinner prepared, served, and cleaned up. Stay until 8 pm when overnight hosts arrive.
Meal host (5:30-7:30 pm): Come and serve a pre-made dinner to a specified number of guests and clean up after.
Overnight host (8 pm-7 am): Arrive and gather pertinent information from the evening hosts. Lock facility doors at 10 pm and sleep at the faith community site, waking up in time to serve coffee, a cold breakfast and help families pack snacks/lunch before they leave at 7 am.

Mission Statement
FHN'S mission is to support families experiencing homelessness in order for them to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency in a timely and dignified manner. We provide a full range of emergency and stabilizing services needed by our guest parents and children, in collaboration with a diverse set of faith communities and partner agencies.
Description
Family Housing Network of Fort Collins has five core programs which address the range of needs of families along the continuum from homelessness to sustainable self-sufficiency. During intake, parents work with our Shelter Case Manager to identify eligibility for each program, and develop a plan to most effectively achieve independence. Throughout each week, they continue to meet with our Shelter Case Manager to brainstorm, trouble-shoot, and ensure progress toward goals. We collaborate with over 20 local and state partner agencies to address the range of needs of our guest parents and children.
