THE ROLE

Protect Us Kids Foundation (PUK) is currently researching the behavioral and socioeconomic factors involved in how technology is used to support cyber-related crime against at-risk youth. The PUK Senior Web Designer and Developer serves a pivotal role in crafting the website's structure and design concepts to resonate with diverse audiences while staying true to our mission.

PUK programs are centered on the unique cultural, behavioral, and societal aspects of underserved, rural and marginalized communities that have afforded criminals an increased opportunity to exploit children leveraging technology. Our programs align to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and support global partnership efforts towards combating human trafficking; to include developing critical targeted research of Online Child Sexual Exploitation (OCSE) against youth within this demographic globally. Our programs include:

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Technical and Design Proficiency:
  
  1. Collaborate on Design Concepts: Work closely with the PUK team to conceptualize and plan website design projects that align with the organization's mission and cross-cultural design objectives.
  
  2. Visual Content Creation: Create and incorporate high-quality visual elements, including graphics, images, and icons, that effectively communicate Protect Us Kids Foundation's message and values in a culturally inclusive manner.
  
  3. Web Development and Customization: Leverage your web development skills to execute and customize web design projects within the Drupal framework, ensuring functionality and user experience meet project requirements.
  
  4. Multimedia Integration: Utilize multimedia elements and interactive features to enhance user engagement and storytelling on the website.
  
  Collaborative Work:
  
  5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the volunteer Drupal specialist, Web Developer, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into the website's functionality.
  
  Project Management:
  
  6. Timely Project Delivery: Manage project timelines effectively to deliver website design and development projects within established deadlines.
  
  Communication and Adaptability:
  
  7. Effective Communication: Communicate design concepts, progress updates, and project requirements clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  
  8. Adaptability: Embrace feedback and be open to adjusting design elements to meet cultural and project-specific needs.
