THE ROLE

Protect Us Kids Foundation (PUK) is currently researching the behavioral and socioeconomic factors involved in how technology is used to support cyber-related crime against at-risk youth. The Cross-Cultural Storyteller holds a vital role in crafting narratives that transcend cultural boundaries, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by at-risk youth in a digital world.

PUK programs are centered on the unique cultural, behavioral, and societal aspects of underserved, rural and marginalized communities that have afforded criminals an increased opportunity to exploit children leveraging technology. Our programs align to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and support global partnership efforts towards combating human trafficking; to include developing critical targeted research of Online Child Sexual Exploitation (OCSE) against youth within this demographic globally. Our programs include:

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  1. Storytelling: Create compelling and culturally diverse narratives that shed light on the experiences, struggles, and resilience of at-risk youth impacted by cybercrime.
  2. Research: Conduct thorough research to ensure authenticity and accuracy when portraying the lives and challenges faced by these young individuals.
  3. Presentation: Deliver impactful storytelling performances or create multimedia content that resonates with diverse audiences, be it through live events, digital platforms, podcasts, or written articles.
  4. Education: Use storytelling as a means to educate and engage audiences on the importance of protecting vulnerable youth in the digital age.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with multicultural teams within PUK to curate and showcase stories that raise awareness and inspire action to combat cyber exploitation.
  6. Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach efforts, workshops, and events to promote cross-cultural storytelling and encourage dialogues on cyber safety and child protection.

Our mission is to protect youth from being victimized by predators who leverage cyberspace as an international exploitation tactic. We accomplish this by promoting widespread awareness; educating youth about the dangers of cybercrime and providing them with methods of protection; stimulating the development of technology-driven safety solutions; and establishing strategic partnerships with other organizations to identify key indicators that lead to exploitation.

Protect Us Kids Foundation ( www.protect-us-kids.org) is a U.S. based, 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to protecting youth worldwide from cyber-related crimes, so that they may safely navigate online. Our programs are centered on the unique cultural, behavioral, and societal aspects of marginalized and rural communities that have afforded criminals an increased opportunity to exploit children leveraging technology. Our programs align to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and support global partnership efforts towards combating human trafficking. Our programs include:
