Your time can mean everything to an individual who needs blood! Help be part of saving millions of lives each year by assisting as a Blood Donor Ambassador and serving as the face of the American Red Cross for individuals donating the ultimate life-saving element.
Giving a few hours of your time a month truly is the ultimate gift. Volunteer as a Blood Donor Ambassador and receive the gift back as you discover a new purpose as a member of a lifesaving team to help support blood collections in your neighborhood.
Event: 16 December- 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Church Street Church of Christ
Key Responsibilities:
- Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
- Donor receptionists welcomes donors, help check-in donors, distribute required reading material, and maintain a smooth donor flow
- Offer refreshments to donors, alert the collection staff if a donor needs assistance, and thanks the donor for their donation
- Ensures donors have a positive experience
Time Commitment: Red Cross Blood Donor Ambassadors will typically fulfil a 4-6 hour shift, depending on the event. It is preferred that all volunteers serve for a minimum of 3 to 6 months.
Safety First: Our need for volunteers is constant and our guidelines reflect the latest CDC safety recommendations and follow the national and local government laws. COVID-19 vaccination will be required for in-person volunteer roles beginning January 3 rd, 2022.
