We are currently looking for mature volunteers for all phases of our spay and neuter clinics. Clinics are held 8-10 times each month, usually on Wednesdays and Sundays. The location of the clinics is at the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA on Route 352 in Elmira, NY. Commitment time is approximately 6 hours per clinic, but this is flexible depending on your availability. Training will be provided.

If you enjoy working with animals and learning more about the benefits of spaying and neutering pets, you’ll truly enjoy your time with the wonderful team at the Chemung County SPCA!

A minimum commitment of 2 clinics per month for 6 months is required.

Description

Make a Difference in Your Community!

CVAC is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County.

CVAC provides education and opportunities for people of all ages to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. CVAC volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, hospitals, food pantries, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. Our staff members work with agencies and organizations to offer individuals maximum flexibility and choice.

With CVAC you can either enroll as a Cornell Cooperative Extension volunteer to work directly with our programs, or sign you up as an affiliated volunteer and work with any number of partner agencies. In both cases, we match your interests to those of agencies needing your skills and talents.
