Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Project PLASE

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 5 people are interested

Every year Project PLASE gives out holiday gifts to our clients and their children. This year we need help from our volunteers to distribute these gifts!

From 7:30am to 5pm on December 21st we will be handing out gifts in the cafeteria of 3601 Old Frederick Road. Volunteers will help us direct clients and make sure that they are getting all of their gifts. We also will need volunteers who are excited and willing to deliver gifts to some of our clients who are not able to make it to this day. Shifts are available for those who are not able to stay the entire day. Come help for as long as you are able!

This is a great opportunity for groups who want to get involved around the holidays! We want to make this the best experience possible for those who we serve and we are looking for volunteers who feel the same.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Rachel Catalano at rcatalano@projectplase.org or (410)837-1400 x128.

About Project PLASE

Location:

3601 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, MD 21229, US

Mission Statement

Project PLASE addresses homelessness in Baltimore through our transitional and permanent housing programs coupled with a continuum of housing and services to meet the special physical, mental, and emotional needs of residents. We strive to move individuals from crisis to housing stability by treating, restoring, and rehabilitating the whole person and empowering each individual to function at his or her highest level possible.

Description

The goal of Project PLASE’s transitional housing program is to house and serve homeless citizens in 24-hour supported supervision and case management with a focus on helping the individual function at the highest level.

We provide residents with three meals daily plus snacks, linens, bus tokens, assistance with medical appointments, and clothing as needed - making it easier for residents to focus on getting back on their feet.

Each resident is assigned a counselor for assistance and support. Active case management is given to assist the individual to meet his/her needs, move beyond their crisis situation, and avail him/herself of community based services and resources as appropriate.
