ARK is searching for Social Media Coordinators to join our Marketing team! Can you use social media to spread a message? Do you want to make a tangible impact on the lives of children living with mobility issues and their families? We have an opportunity for you! ARK (Accessibility Renovations for Kids) is a growing Calgary charity working to reshape the lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating or modifying their family home to make it more accessible. We are seeking Social Media Coordinators to join our Marketing & Communications team. This person will work to expand awareness of ARK, helping us to further our mission of meaningfully assisting children with disabilities. The Social Media Coordinators will be responsible for ensuring ARK’s online presence is active, current and relevant to ARK’s mission. Time Commitment: Approximately 1-3 hours per week Duties and Responsibilities: * Has a creative mindset and experience with social media uses and trends. * Working with the team, create posts and other media to keep ARK’s social media presence active and engaging to our followers * Can help us grow ARK’s social media followers and awareness on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn using new and creative ways * Helps create social media campaigns and is able to schedule them in our social media scheduler. * Research other pertinent information of interest to ARK’s followers and in keeping with ARK’s mission * Be part of the social media planning and the marketing team Requirements: * English as a primary language. * Familiar with the importance of brand consistency in social media messages and the ability to engage an audience. * Ensure quality, consistency, and cohesiveness across all digital content and communications (i.e. aligned mission, brand positioning in a consistent style and voice.) * Keen understanding of what captures the human heart, and why that is the most important aspect of executing ARK’s mission. * Understands basic social media analytics is an asset * Familiar with using Canva for creating graphics * Adaptive and flexible to work around all social media trends (Reels, IGTV, and highlights) to generate new traffic to the ARK pages. * Please provide links to managed social media accounts. * Please share at least 2 samples of your writing along with your application. One on the importance of volunteering and another on a topic of your choice. * Candidates should be located in Calgary or Southern Alberta.
