Be a Hospice Volunteer! Come make a difference in the lives of families and patient facing the next journey in their lives. The power of a touch, a smile, a reassuring squeeze of the hand....... Many Hospice Volunteers say they get more from their volunteer experience than what they give.
Hospice volunteers provide a compassionate presence and comfort by offering their gifts of time, friendship, and talents. Ways you can help are: Provide companionship, Write letters, share memories, actively listen to life review. Volunteers can simply hold hands, sing songs, Just be present in the moment, look through photo albums and just listen.

Gentiva Hospice is seeking compassionate hearts and hands for our volunteer program. Companionship, Music Therapy, Special Events, and administrative office support. Our Volunteer Coordinators will help you discover the best fit for you based on your interests. We are a family of hospice care providers focused on compassionate care when life matters most.

If you are searching for a way to make a difference in the lives of others, you belong here. Hopsice volunteers are a valuable part of our care team. Based on your interests and preferences, receive specific volunteer training to help improve the quality of life for others.
We support our volunteers and appreciate the important rolse they play in hospice care. we prepare volunteers with specific training. Volunteering takes no advanced medical training or great commitment. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, skills and interests. YOU BELONG HERE.

- Time commitment is flexible to your schedule, once a week visits are usually requested and preferred by families but we can work with you to find the right fit..
- TB test, Background check and Drug test are required, We follow COVID-19 protocols. Volunteers must show proof of COVID 19 vaccination. We have orientation training and quarterly In service trainings are required through the year.
