Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board


We are seeking trained hairdressers, cosmetologists, and barbers to donate their talent and time people who are receiving services at the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB).

The CSB manages multiple residential facilities for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders.

Many of our clients are focused on recovery, making it hard to get out to the barber/salon. We are looking for those willing to bring those services to them. Everyone likes to look in the mirror and feel good about themselves. Donating your time and resources to the CSB will give them a sense of normalcy and confidence!

Flexibility in scheduling is available for this opportunity - whether you are looking for a one-time visit or offering regular services, we are happy to have you!

The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) envisions that everyone in our community has the support needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life. The Fairfax-Falls Church CSB’s mission is to provide and coordinate a system of community-based supports for individuals and families of Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church who are affected by developmental delay, intellectual disability, serious emotional disturbance (youth), mental illness and/or substance use disorders.


When you join our volunteer team, you will receive training, supervision, diverse educational experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
