Hi there!

We’re a small non-profit association running Squirrel News, a free, curated app (+ newsletter) for solutions-focused news (squirrel-news.net). Three times per week we collect and present the most important and most interesting stories about new solutions to the world’s biggest problems.

At the moment, we’re looking for another volunteer editor on our English edition (most of as work as volunteers so far).

You would be responsible for one issue per week (about 5−6 hours) and

• browse the media landscape and identify relevant stories
• participate in our editorial calls
• rewrite headlines and teasers
• upload the editions.

Requirements:

We are looking for a native English speaker with professional experience in journalism / news editing and a broad general education.

Squirrel News is based in Berlin, but we work remotely. If you're based in Europe that would be ideal, as we'd work within similar time zones. But if not, we can also find a way.
