GUTS! Action Group Facilitator
GUTS! is a unique, community-based leadership and empowerment project designed by and for young women, ages 9-13. The GUTS! program encourages girls and gender-diverse youth to explore their own personal values and discover their strengths through wilderness adventures in the summer, continuing through the school year with after school groups and community service projects. GUTS!' goals are to (1) create a supportive and inquiring environment in which girls and gender-diverse youth can look closely at who they are, gaining the confidence and clarity to make constructive, healthy choices in their lives, and (2) to encourage participants to be effective leaders in their communities and the world.
GUTS! is open to girls, women, gender-diverse people or those who feel they could benefit from leading a GUTS! group. We welcome non-binary, gender non-conforming, gender fluid, two-spirit, and transgender participants and volunteers.
*Action Group Facilitators can facilitate online or in-person at a participating elementary/middle school. Weekly commitment of two hours*
Training will be held on January 25th and 26th (2 hours a session). Application deadline on January 2nd!
