Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement is looking for volunteers to administer BEST Plus 2.0 (https://www.cal.org/aea/bp/) tests to our adult ESOL students in Long Island City or Astoria for one or more three-hour shifts between November 29 and December 8. We would also provide approximately 1-2 hours of training to better acquaint you with the testing software.

Post-testing is an important part of our classes because it allows everyone involved to see the amazing progress that students make during the 10-week course. We're able to use the testing data to better inform our teaching practices, ensure our funders that we provide a valuable service, and motivate students to keep learning. Because the BEST Plus 2.0 test is conversation-based, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with and talk to a lot of our students!
