We started this program because we wanted to help students keep up with their classes and improve their grades. We want all students to succeed in the classroom which is why our program focuses on helping students learn better as well as helping them make good decisions inside and outside the classroom through mentoring.
Our tutors help the students with homework, good attitudes, and decisions about school. We provide good money management skills through our "Bonus Bucks" system which rewards behavior, attendance, and school grades. We end our tutoring Sessions with a warm and nutritious meal.
The program is for students from preschool through 6 th grade and runs every Wednesday from 3:30-6:30. Activities include Bible study, homework help, and a meal. We are seeking volunteers to serve as tutors. We are looking for individuals high school aged or above with a passion for learning and a love of Jesus and his children. Spanish or other language proficiency is a plus, but not required.

Description
Trinity is a worshipping and serving Christian congregation in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We gather in worship around Jesus Christ's forgiving sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion that join Believers to His death, resurrection, and ascension back into heaven. We enthusiastically give thanks and praise to the Holy Trinity for this work of redemption! It comforts and inspires us in our day-to-day, year-to-year lives together. It also encourages us to persevere through life's struggles with the hope and joy of knowing that peaceful eternal life wit God awaits us after this ends.

- Since we are a faith-based tutoring program, our tutors need to be Christians and enjoy working with children.
