Community Resources' Academic Mentor Project is seeking a chef to virtually mentor a high achieveing 6th grade student who is interested in culinary arts.
Since 1984 the Academic Mentors Project has matched high achieving, ambitious 5 th - 12 th grade students who have an interest in a particular topic/career focus with volunteer mentors from the community. Together students and mentors spend time learning more about that specific area of interest and typically work on a small project together. Volunteer mentors are asked to give approximately SIX hours total over the course of 3-6 meetings with a student, plus an initial set up meeting. Additional program information can be found at our website https://www.communityresourcesinc.org/academic-mentors. For further information, please contact Laura Kent at laura_kent@dpsk12.org.
This is a great opportunity for a caterer or work-from-home chef!
