A lot of families were affected by COVID-19, and they lose food support. With your help, we will pack and distribute food boxes every other Saturday to families in need in the Creighton and Balsz community.

We need help packing and/or distributing food boxes to community members (mobile distribution).
Available spots varied between 8:00 am to 12:00 am. We have two shifts: 8:00 am to 10:00 am and 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. You are always welcome to stay for both shifts. We can always use extra hands.

This position will require walking, standing, and moderate physical strength to lift approximately 25 to 40 pounds of food boxes.

We practice social distancing to make sure our volunteers and families are safe. Masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer are provided.

Experience first-hand the positive impact of helping those who needed it the most. This could be an ongoing or one-time volunteer opportunity. We'd be very grateful and honored to count on your support to help our communities.

About CREIGHTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Location:

3609 N 27th St, PHOENIX, AZ 85018, US

Mission Statement

In pursuit of evidence-based models, we work in and around Creighton neighborhoods and schools to cultivate a sense of school-centered identity, foster neighbor interaction, and increase social capacity with the aim of improving relational community supports that surround our developing children.

Description

While we focus broadly on developing school capacity and providing access to new resources for our Title I schools, our primary work is Community Works. Community Works is all about neighborhood reinvestment based on a model of relocation and in-the-streets work in our neighborhoods of most significant need.

Our goal? A neighborhood-wide improvement in social interaction and supportive relationships and expectations for kids. The same supportive relationships that leading researchers say have a fundamental influence on the trajectory of child development.
