Needpedia is designed to do something completely unprecedented, it's giving its users tools to collaborate with developers to govern and further develop the site. We've already developed a number of specialized tools to do this:
(The wiki section lets you list all "ideas" for specific "problems", and all problems with any "subjects", that's how everyone finds things.)
-Once there's an idea people like, experts start getting invited (or simply hear about it), and make a layer for experts in their field. -As a developer, that could include you; people already have tons of ideas for Needpedia and we haven't even gone public yet. So , presumably, that once they start posting their ideas for Needpedia, on Needpedia, our devs will create their own layers to the more popular or interesting idea posts, to empower citizens globally.
-There's also a "token system", that lets you drop little hyperscript icons into text in wiki posts to ask questions, leave notes, or start debates.
The larger goal's to create "citizen-expert-coalitions", around all the best ideas, where everyone's welcome to see what the experts are saying, and if there's any objectives they can personally help with.
As a Volunteer coordinator you'd make sure volunteers have what they need to get started and hopefully form a community. Right now the site's only been developed by paid devs and their expertise is in freelance development, not volunteer coordination, so I'd like to find someone with experience or interest working with volunteers. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in adding management experience to their resume, while helping people.
Needpedia's github is located here: https://github.com/Queuevius/Needpedia
It's programmed in Ruby on Rails, Js, Bootstrap, Yarn, and SCSS. The documentation is located here: https://github.com/Queuevius/Needpedia/wiki/Main-Document-Formatted
Needpedia.org / the production server hasn't been updated in awhile, but our testing / staging server gets updates all the time, and is located here: http://18.104.22.168/
We also made a discord but no one's ever really used it. So far Needpedia's been developed by paid devs, we haven't had a lot of volunteers or community yet. But we're really hoping that can change. If there's anything you need at all, or if you think of any feedback you'd like to provide, you can always reach the site founder at Anthonydunn97202@gmail.com -Please feel free to share ideas you have for problems with Needpedia on Needpedia too, and to add channels and stuff on our discord: https://discord.gg/6jNCVu8W
(We're presently using Trello to list objectives but we're planning on switching to Needpedia after we make a few important updates)
*Needpedia seeks to directly address the impacts of covid in a number of ways:
-It provides people with an archive for solutions to, potentially, any of the countless problems the pandemic presents.
-It provides a social media section that doesn't employ algorithms to profit off of fear and misinformation.
-Needpedia's "token system" lets users publicly expose misinformation.
-Needpedia's "layer system" lets users see what experts are talking about, which increases transparency and trust, which in turn increases participation. Exposing citizens to science also immunizes them against clickbait/misinformation, (Which often includes anti-vax content).
*All aforementioned tools will also be used to help fight covid. If someone has an idea for a homeless shelter, air circulation and filtration can be proposed to help with various respiratory illnesses. If co-workers feel there is any kind of threat from Covid at all in their workplace, or beyond, they can use Needpedia to begin networking around solutions.

To build the wiki for all solutions, to any problem, with any thing.
Needpedia's goal is to build the wiki for all possible solutions to any problem, with anything. But more than that, our goal is connect people over the best ideas on Earth. So we also built a social media site, both so that people can use the social media site to collaborate on ideas they like in the wiki section, and so that people can use the wiki section to improve and even govern/democractize the social media section.
This is a Virtual Opportunity with no fixed address.
