Greetings from Needpedia.org, an affiliate of NAAME.org! We are currently seeking a proficient data scientist to join our dedicated team. Our mission is to develop an AI-powered user-guide, leveraging the capabilities of botpress to help people navigate and utilize Needpedia more effectively.

Needpedia is a platform built on Ruby on Rails, aiming to provide a comprehensive and user-friendly wiki for all solutions to all problems, which also comes with a growing array of tools for collaboration between citizens and experts. About the Project:
The project involves creating an AI-powered user-guide for Needpedia. The guide will be developed using Botpress, an open-source conversational AI platform. The aim is to enhance user experience by providing real-time assistance and guidance.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a data scientist on our team, you will be responsible for collecting and preprocessing data for machine learning projects, implementing machine learning algorithms for classification or pattern recognition tasks, evaluating the performance of machine learning models, and handling imbalanced datasets or noisy data. Experience in natural language processing tasks and developing NLP models will be a significant advantage.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is proficient and experienced in data science and machine learning. To ensure a good fit, we ask that you consider the following questions:
- Describe your experience in collecting and preprocessing data for machine learning projects.
- Explain different machine learning algorithms you have used for classification or pattern recognition tasks.
- How do you evaluate the performance of machine learning models? What metrics do you consider?
- Have you worked on natural language processing tasks before? If so, describe your experience in developing NLP models.
- How do you handle imbalanced datasets or noisy data?

Needpedia's goal is to build the wiki for all possible solutions to any problem, with anything. ​But more than that, our goal is connect people over the best ideas on Earth. So we also built a social media site, both so that people can use the social media site to collaborate on ideas they like in the wiki section, and so that people can use the wiki section to improve and even govern/democractize the social media section.
