The Kellogg Environmental Center is looking for volunteers to conduct educator workshops for the Project WILD curricula. Project WILD is an award-winning, interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program connecting students and wildlife. Students develop the awareness, knowledge, skills and commitment to make informed decisions, demonstrate responsible behavior, and take constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment. It promotes critical thinking, teaches students "how to think, not what to think," and addresses multiple learning styles. Project WILD meets Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core Standards.

Volunteers will become facilitators who offer workshops for formal and non-formal educators working with PreK-12th grade students. Volunteers will receive training on Growing Up WILD, an early childhood education curriculum guide, Project WILD, a K-12 curriculum guide focused on terrestrial habitats and wildlife, Flying WILD, a migratory bird curriculum guidebook for middle school students, and Aquatic WILD, a K-12 curriculum guidebook focused on aquatic habitats and wildlife. This volunteer opportunity is great for teachers in training, community leaders, environmental educators, PreK-12 teachers, nature center/camp leaders, and anyone interested in education.
