2021 National Art Contest Official Rules:


Submissions will only be accepted electronically, so be sure to take a clear photo of your entry only (not the matting). All entries must be original in concept, design and execution and may not violate any U.S. copyright laws. Any entry that has been copied from an existing photo or image (including a painting, graphic, or advertisement) that was created by someone other than the student is a violation of the competition rules and will not be accepted. Work entered must be in the original medium (that is, not a scanned reproduction of a painting or drawing.

Winning entries will be printed on post-cards. These post-cards will be mailed to Children's hospitals.

Participants must be under the age of 18.

Accepted mediums for the two-dimensional artwork are as follows:

  • Paintings - including oil, acrylics, and watercolor
  • Drawings - including colored pencil, pencil, ink, markers, pastels, charcoal (It is recommended that charcoal and pastel drawings be fixed.)
  • Collages - must be two dimensional
  • Prints - including lithographs, silkscreen, block prints
  • Mixed Media - use of more than two mediums such as pencil, ink, watercolor, etc.
  • Computer - generated art
  • Photography

No registration fee. The deadline to submit an entry is Friday, December 31, 2021 by 5 p.m. (PST).

Sunshine International Association is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing an assortment of classes and volunteering opportunities to kids and teenagers in the community. The primary activity of this organization includes educational workshops, extracurricular classes, tutoring services, and cultural exchange events. The goal is to inspire students' interests, expose them to a diverse culture, and encourage creative thinking. We hope to develop their inner curiosity and limitless passion for learning.

Description

Sunshine International Association was founded by a team of high schoolers, we hope to share our knowledge to the community through volunteering and hosting other activities. During pandemic time, we offer various extracurricular classes, tutoring services and group fun time via zoom to our communities. We hope more volunteers to join us and service this wonderful world.
