Do You Have Grant Writing Experience or Want to Gain Grant Writing Skills?
We welcome students and are willing to offer an externship.
A Prospect Researcher/Grant Writer ensures Womenful Voice’s organizational and programmatic sustainability by growing our support base and building meaningful relationships with current and prospective donors.
The Prospect Researcher/Grant Writer will play a critical role in helping to identify and qualify potential funders and conduct research in preparation for meetings between the Executive Director and/or Board Member and donors. Training will be provided. This is a 6-month assignment.
Prospect Research - approximately 50%
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Identifies and qualifies new individual, corporate, and foundation donor prospects; Researches the qualified prospects using Foundation Directory On-line, Guidestar, Corporate Philanthropy report, and other resources;
Gathers information and prepares donor profile reports;
Maintains a comprehensive list of all qualified prospects; and
Assists with donor solicitation and acknowledgment letters.
Grant Writer - approximately 50%
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Maintains an up-to-date grants calendar and ensures that all deadlines are met;
Prepares and updates proposal boiler plates/templates; and
Works with the Grant Manager to draft grant reports and proposals.
